MESOURCE is a collection; ideas developed from real experiences of the author. It is dedicated to all of the parts comprising the whole; without which the whole, though self-reliant, could not be. The author resides in Key West, Florida. Poetry has taken her from New Jersey to Philadelphia, and back a few thousand times. It has brought her to Key West, inspired her to leave, read in the West Indies and come home again. Poets like Hemingway and Kerouac have driven her across the United States, flown her to Europe, sailed her soul into the Bahamas, and driven her across U.S. borders late at night. Poetry has stolen her breath and eaten her words. She is a graduate of Temple University, Philadelphia, PA; Class of January 1995, and holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology. She earned the honors of Magna Cum Laude for the School of Social Science for her Class. Her interests are diverse, on purpose. A member of the Key West Poetry Guild since 1996, she has read with peers in Key West, FL; Roseau, Dominica (W.I., E.C.); and Philadelphia, PA. Styles have included leading round robin groups at the Wooden Head Gallery, hot seat small stage gatherings at Sippin’ Café, and a fifteen minute spotlight at Virgilio’s Martini Bar (sponsored by the League of Crafty Musicians). MESOURCE is her first book. |
